Curtain opens on Automation Instrumentation Summit 2020

da | 3 Dic, 19 | Fiere & Eventi |

The third edition of Automation Instrumentation Summit, the international reference event for Process Automation sponsored by AIS and ISA, has been presented in Milan. There are many new features, starting from the locations, the maxi duration of the programme (Automation Instrumentation Week) and the birth of a new magazine, Automation Technology, to support the initiative.

In the unusual and evocative setting of WOW Spazio Fumetto in Milan, the creative area of the former Motta confectionery factory, the 2020 edition of Automation Instrumentation Summit was presented to the public. Now in its third edition, the event sponsored by AIS, ISA Italy and ISA Emea will take place from 17 to 18 June 2020 in conjunction with the ISA Emea 2020 Conference & Exhibition. The event aims to promote know-how and innovation in the strategic sectors of automation, instrumentation and Industry 4.0 thanks to an original synergy that includes cultural growth, certified training and business opportunities.

Building on the success of the previous editions, the third edition will continue in terms of format, scientific value of the content, internationalisation, focus on process automation and maximum attention to the needs of exhibitors and conference participants.

Confirmed as media partner Editoriale Delfino and the support of DMG Events, the organisation of the event has been entrusted to a company with a strong international vocation, Delta International Events. One of the most interesting novelties concerns the locations, selected from some of the most important historical buildings in the centre of Milan, which will be revealed in the coming weeks. But the real surprise, in contrast with current trends, is the overall duration of the event. In fact, the two-day event is part of Automation Instrumentation Week, a wide-ranging series of exhibition, scientific, informative and all-round training events, including visits to some production plants. This is the calendar:

15-16 June 2020 - Training days
17-18 June 2020 - Automation Instrumentation Summit (Conference and Exhibition)
19-20 June 2020 - District Leaders Council
21 June 2020 - Tour on automation application sites

High-profile themes and protagonists

During the Summit, leading companies and industry experts will present trends, innovations and best practices focused on cybersecurity, safety, IoT, Machine Learning, Industry 4.0, monitoring, analysis and measurement instrumentation, control technologies, industrial communication and wireless networks. Power, Renewables, Oil&Gas, Chemical-Pharmaceutical, Food, Critical Infrastructures, Metrology and Process Industry in general will be the most interested application sectors.

Absolute novelty, in line with the organisational and relational models outlined by the ongoing digital revolution, will be some events linked to productivity, leadership, corporate welfare and organisational well-being.

In addition to the ASI - ISA network, the high scientific and technological profile of the event is ensured by a first-rate Scientific Committee as well as players and partners of the calibre of Saudi Aramco, Saipem, Milan Polytechnic and the Complutense University of Madrid, to name but a few. The scientific committee of international experts will issue the call for papers by the end of the year.

A new magazine

To support the cultural, scientific and organisational challenge of Automation Instrumentation Summit, the official organ of AIS, ISA Italy Section, ISA EMEA District 12 has been remodelled. Automation Technology, the name of the magazine previewed at the Summit, is a bilingual Italian-English version of the magazine, created to offer readers a broad and up-to-date overview of the world of automation, instrumentation and safety, with a focus on the process industry and the impact of Industry 4.0 and Digital Transformation.
