Great news for instrumentation, automation and oil and gas operators. The International Oil and Gas Producers (IOGP) association is making its recommended practices on remote operations, obsolescence, level measurement and High Integrity Protection Systems (HIPS) freely available on its website.

For more than a decade, the Instrumentation and Automation Standards SubCommittee (IASSC) within the International Oil and Gas Producers (IOGP) has worked to develop recommended practices (RPs) on key topics that challenge the oil and gas industry. IASSC is a unique IOGP group that includes both operating companies and global supplier representatives. To date, 4 RPs (Recommended Practices) have been developed and are freely available for download from the website www.iogp.org/bookstore. The primary objective of these documents is to harmonise operating company requirements and recommended practices.
