Agile and Scrum, the perspectives of modern design

In recent years, companies have had to cope with demands for lean production, turbulent and aggressive markets, rapid technological innovations and new governance models. All this has led to profound changes in the design domain, for which traditional approaches and methods are often inadequate. To help companies and designers manage increasingly complex projects, advanced project management techniques have been introduced: Agile and Scrum. We try to understand more in this article.

I imagine you have come across, or heard of, projects that never end or that fall short of client expectations. In a world that is so dynamic and yet so distracted, it is easy to overload a requirement or even the whole project with expectations, especially in the IT field: the agile movement seeks to reverse this trend. Since the last industrial revolution, we have been lulled into the illusion that by planning the work as a whole in steps and having a precise set of specifications, we can draw up a nice Gantt chart and stick to it: you know very well that in IT, which has now mastered every aspect, in a world that is evolving at a whirlwind, the classic cascade method simply doesn't work; it takes too long, by the time you finish the product or a phase, it is already old or the client has changed the specifications. Even worse, IT is rather intangible and very subjective, everyone's expectations vary a lot and often even a good specification is not enough.
